In BaZi, the day pillar is the pillar of the self. Its heavenly stem is your Day Master — the reference point for every other character in the chart. A person born on a Ren Zi day has Ren water as their Day Master, sitting on the 子 (water) branch.
Personality
Ren water is expansive; the Rat underneath makes it private and sharp. You think deeply, keep your own counsel, and can move fast once you have committed — often faster than people who have been talking about it longer. You are comfortable with depths other people avoid.
Work and vocation
Research, strategy, finance, engineering, or founding — work that needs long concentration more than constant collaboration.
Relationships
Independent and reserved, and you assume others know where they stand. They usually do not; state it plainly.
Health and rhythm
Kidneys, back, cold and sleep. Stillness restores you, but too little contact can masquerade as peace.
Upcoming 壬子 days
The sexagenary day cycle repeats every sixty days. These are the next dates that fall on Ren Zi.

Is this your day pillar?
You do not need to know your day pillar in advance. Enter your birth date, time and place, and the calculator works out all four pillars — then shows how your Day Master reads against the rest of the chart.
