In BaZi, the day pillar is the pillar of the self. Its heavenly stem is your Day Master — the reference point for every other character in the chart. A person born on a Ren Chen day has Ren water as their Day Master, sitting on the 辰 (earth) branch.
Personality
Ren water is expansive; the Dragon gives depth and long-range vision. You hold a lot quietly and move decisively when the reservoir is full.
Work and vocation
Strategy, research, finance, logistics, founding.
Relationships
Open-minded yet guarded. Vulnerability is a door others cannot find on their own.
Health and rhythm
Kidneys and lower back. Rest is productive for you.

Is this your day pillar?
You do not need to know your day pillar in advance. Enter your birth date, time and place, and the calculator works out all four pillars — then shows how your Day Master reads against the rest of the chart.
