Ten Gods
Character · Career · Wealth
Luck Cycles
One cycle every ten years

01 · Begin

Start with the moment you were born

Date, hour and place are all the chart needs. It takes under a minute, and no account is required.

Day Master
the center of your chart
Five Elements
your inner balance
Ten Gods
how you meet the world

Search for the city or district you were born in; the longitude and timezone are filled in automatically.

02 · The idea

Fate is your nature. Fortune is your timing.

BaZi separates what you arrived with from what the years bring. One is the instrument; the other is the weather it plays in.

Fate · 命

The pattern you were born with: temperament, gifts, and the blind spots that come with them.

A seed carries its own kind: oak, willow, pine. None is better than another; each grows into its own shape.

Fortune · 运

The seasons you move through: years that ask for action, and years that ask for patience.

The same tree meets sun, storm and frost. It does not become a different tree; it learns when to grow and when to rest.

A chart is a weather report for the life you are already living. The clearer you read it, the more choice you have.

01

Fate Codex · 命书

A chapter-by-chapter reading of the life you are actually living.

  • Nine chapters cover your Day Master, personality, career, wealth, love, family, health and the road ahead — written for your chart alone.
  • Every insight points back to a specific stem, branch or ten god, so you learn the language of BaZi as you read yourself.
02

Fortune Ledger · 运书

The seasons of your timeline, translated into plain language.

  • See your ten-year luck cycles and the year-by-year weather inside them — when to push, when to wait, when to change course.
  • Time, space and the four seasons are read side by side, marking the meetings and turning points each stretch of the road may bring.
03

Divination · 占卜

A specific choice in front of you, a direction for this moment.

  • Based on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, cast on a concrete question about work, love or travel, and read a short-term tendency and a caution.
  • It addresses only the step in front of you. It does not decide for you, and it does not overpromise.
04

Ask Your Chart · 司命

Ask your chart whenever life asks you a question.

  • A quiet conversation about career crossroads, relationships, timing, or a decision you keep circling.
  • Answers stay grounded in your own chart, with no generic horoscopes, no flattery and no fear.

04 · Why trust it

A reading should leave you clearer, not dependent.

Three standards we don’t compromise on.

01

Precise charting first

A reading is only as good as its chart. We calculate the four pillars with a dedicated calendar engine — solar terms, time zones and true solar time included — not with a language model’s guess.

02

Show the reasoning

Every insight is tied to a stem, branch or ten god you can see. You should finish understanding more about the system, not just believing us more.

03

Respect the limits

A chart can show tendencies and timing. It cannot decide your life. We say that plainly, and we never use fear to sell certainty.

Read across time zones

Different cities, one shared sky.

I grew up hearing my grandparents talk about BaZi without ever understanding it. Reading my own chart was the first time the whole system clicked: it explained my chart, then explained itself. I showed it to my mother, and all she said was, “this sounds like you.”

I’m still a skeptic. But the Day Master chapter described how I work more precisely than personality assessments I’ve paid for — especially the part about needing to think it through before I start. My team would probably agree. I don’t accept every conclusion, but at least the reasoning is on the table.

The Fortune Ledger told me spring was for momentum and winter was for rest. I thought it was a platitude until I actually slowed down last winter — and handed in my most complete draft that spring. That reframing lowered my anxiety more than a year of productivity apps.

The reading is honest about what a chart cannot answer. It never promised I’d succeed; it told me when I’m prone to distraction and which collaborations drain me. That restraint is why I trust the rest of it — and why I finally learned to say no to commissions.

I edit books in London and have seen too many mystical pamphlets dressed up as Eastern wisdom. This one reads like a patient editor: each claim is sourced, and the uncertain parts are left uncertain. I finished wanting to learn the language, not lean on a conclusion.

The Bay Area runs on data, so I mostly wanted to see how vague it would be. Instead it described my two years of job-hopping with uncomfortable precision — when to push, when to wait. I don’t know if that’s fate, but it made me pause before a decision. That pause was worth it.

Questions, answered

BaZi (literally “eight characters”) reads the year, month, day and hour of your birth as four pairs of elements. It is less a prediction machine than a structured map of personality, timing and relationships — a way to see your tendencies clearly enough to make better choices.

The chart describes the map. You still choose the route.
